Hiring Process
Step One: Application
We are selective with who we choose to hire. Strict criteria must be met as many of our contracts and assignments require independent skills, ability, and critical thinking. Send a tailored cover letter, resume, and a minimum of three verifiable references to info@thompsonlehman.com in PDF format. Alternatively, you may use the helpful Application Portal, also located further down the page, to submit all your forms and required information. Following the submission of the correct forms, our human resources manager will respond promptly if the basic requirements are met. All forms must be tailored to the individual position you are applying for.
Step Two: Preliminary Interview
You will be invited to participate in a virtual interview or phone call.
Step Three: Structured Interview/Tentative Selection
If you passed the initial phone call or virtual interview, a face-to-face invitation to interview will be made. Upon completion of background screening and security clearance review, a tentative offer of employment will be made.
Step Four: Wage/Salary Negotiation
You will be asked to provide your best offer to the human resources manager for review. An amount will be negotiated and settled upon.
Step Five: Offer of Employment
After all phases of the employment hire process have been completed, a conditional offer of employment will be made. An employment start date, contract start date, or deployment start date will be specified. Welcome to the Thompson Lehman Security & Protection Team.

This position is for contract employment in a high-risk environment for a prestigious and highly selective US Government customer. Selected candidates will be expected to provide low-profile security solutions for assignments in sensitive, dynamic, and high-threat OCONUS locations. All candidates MUST pass pre-deployment medical screening to include a mandatory Physical Fitness Readiness test and weapons qualifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (do NOT apply if you do not meet all the qualifications listed below):
– You must possess at least 8 years of Active Duty Military Experience in a Combat Arms MOS (MOS must be verifiable by your DD-214)
– You must have at least one (1) year of operational experience in a combat zone while in the military (Contracted time will not count toward deployment experience for this job requisition)
– You must possess an active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance
– You must have an Honorable Discharge from the military (must be verified by your DD-214)
– You must be physically fit and be able to pass a physical fitness test
– You must possess developed shooting skills and the ability to pass advanced marksmanship evaluations with an array of weapons' systems to include primary, secondary, and crew-served platforms
– You do not have any Felonies or Domestic Violence convictions (past or pending)
